Stamping of share certificate

Company has registered office at Mumbai and Board meeting happens at Gurgaon, what is the appropriate place for stamping of share certificate mumbai or Haryana, can any body suggest me relevant section,case law, judgements.

stamping should be at registered place of co.

Stamping of shares is a outdated thing now, as the shares are now in dematerialised format. . Still let me explain the thing to you.

The share certificates are not stamped individually. What the company does is that it calculates the total amount of stamp duty payable on all the shares issued on a particular date of during a particular period. the same is paid as consolidated stamp duty. if you have any physical share certificate to refer, you can see on it written on bottom,

"Consolidated Stamp Dudy Paid vide Notification No. : Mudrank, etc. 12345678, or something likewise"

it indicates the reference of the consolidated stamp duty paid.

Can anybody here let me know the prevailing rates for stamp duty on shares ? I need the chart specifying the rates @ which the duty is payable to concerned states.

Dear All, Please tell me the rates of stamp duty on share certificates as applicable in Delhi. Does the value includes amount of premium and relevant law for the same. Also, is stamping done according to the place of regd. office or the place of holding BM for allotment.
