Dear Friends

Please help..
My Que:
1. I want to take rent of commercial office and godown, and I draft an aggrement for five years but I am not able to know that how much stamp duty i have to pay for it and whether it required to Registered as per the Registeration Act. if yes with whom and how much cost me...?

Dear Anup, Can you please confirm the area where you proposed to rent out office premises as well as gowdown.For your information stamp duty and registration are state suject and state use to levy the duty accordingly.Also specify your rent amount your proposing to offer to your landlord same.After your confrmation I will to configure stamp duty and its registribiltyof the documents. property in Delhi Rent amount approx 50000/- per month

Dear ankur, Stamp duty required here is 2 % of the amount set forth on the lease deed.Also the respective document is compulsorily registred under Registration Act.You have to approach the area Sub- Registrar office for getting the document registred. Trust this clarify your query. Regards, Rakesh
