Is it compulsory to appoint Director in place of removal of Director as per section 169

No it's not mandatory but if director removed was in place of one woman director then you need to fill vacancy as per sec 149. In case of MD and WTD you need to fill vacancy within 6 months.
No and the vacancy should be filled as casual vacanct u/s 161(4).
