Here I post certain answers/tips given by some qualified persons at caclub.

First of all, I congratulate Aruna Kolli to qualify ICWA yesterday. She is in my friends' list. I hope this thread will benefit the students who many times search answer for typical  questions.

What to do when Hall Ticket is not available in CA Exams

&

How to handle question paper in 3 hours.

Aruna Kolli  :  on 31 08 2010

1) When exam centre is alloted, visit one day in advance so that you do not waste time on first day of exam

2) If u do not get hall ticket/exam ticket by post, u can download from net and it is valid.Your identity card u can take.or if u don’t have id card still u can go with just downloaded hall ticket.

3) If u have any difficulty, two exam observer will be there to help you.this observers are appointed by ca institute for every centre.

4) When u get answer paper, DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING EXCEPT ROLL NO AND EXAM…..Dont write anything on last page…just u can take ruler and pencil..and draw to margin lines on each page…

5) When u get question paper….first write ur roll number on question paper.

6) Then u go thru all question…find out which que u can solve with confidence and fast…see for 100 mark u have 180 mint..so u have to allocate ur time depending upon marks….if there is 10 marks question..then ideally u shud allocate 18 min maximum for each question…in such way u solve ur question…suppose u have 20 marks for one que and 5 such que then u allocate 35 min to each such que..and u will have 35 minx5= 175 mint…spent for whole paper..so u can reverify in last five min…it is possible that some question have 20 marks but instead of taking 35 min it took 25 min..then u r at benefit..so chose simpler question first..

7) In exam , some question are theortical…some have options…some have practical…depending upon ur easiness and ur preparation u choose the que.. For example in income tax there is now trend of question 1) choose any one from option for below mentioned question. The tax limit of female for asst year 2010-11 is a) 160000 b) 190000 c) 240000 d) 185000 If such que there then pick such que first for answer..because less time and more markes. This was basic tips..

Tips to Success in the Examination

Use your revision time effectively. Prepare a revision time table.

When is your energy level the highest? This is the time to tackle the difficult bits.

Do not postpone the difficult topics.

Attend to routine things like tidying up, at low energy times of the day.

Do not just read. Make notes. In fact summarizing and condensing notes focuses your mind.

Discuss topics, after having revised them, with your classmates.

Use diagrammatic representation where ever possible. You may find this easier to retain.

Take a 5 minutes break after every 40 minutes (Certainly after an hour!).

Take a longer break after every 3 hours of study.

  Eat well.

Play some game when you find time. This helps you relax.

Do your best during the revision.

On the examination day, do not worry, even if you feel that you remember nothing! Give it your best shot, you will be able to recall once the questions are in front of you.

Its all about being calm during those three hours of examination. If you are calm and collective you will do well but if you panic you will falter even if you prepared very well. So dont think of outcome and give it your best shot.

Congratulations to Aruna Kolli on Qualifying ICWA.

thanks for all the tips sir...
