Meaning of 'Sole Selling Agent'
The term "sole selling agent" is not defined in the Act. The term simply means an individual, a firm or a company who/which is entrusted with the function of selling products and services exclusively in an area. These rights are exercisable to the exclusion of all others including the concerned company.
The section 294 provides for the appointment of sole selling or buying agents by a company.

Hi Ankur,
I just wanted to know the source of your definition of 'sole selling agent'. This is for the reason that the definition provided by you also includes a sole selling agent for SERVICES also! However, I'm of the view that services are not covered in the definition of sole selling agent. A similar analogy can be drawn from S 294AA read with the sole selling appointment rules which specifically covers GOODS only and not services.
