Very few licence and registration are needed as per requirement of presribed law.
Shop Act licence from labour law department.
Profession Tax Registration from Sales Tax Department
PAN card from NSDL or UTI
and extra as per need of concern Dept e.g if Medical shop then Food Drugs, Zila parishand,
sale of pesticided the Zila parishad,
manufactureing, process of food the FDA,
if turnover goes beyond 5 lacs TIN, VAT of sales tax
if service provider turnver more than 9 lacs, Service tax Registraion form CBEC

A running sole proprietership wats to deal in trading of tea leaves. What are the licences required for the same ?? Does it require licence from food dept and any other department ??
