SLAB RATES are given in every financial buget by finance minister
we are given 3 categories for an individual.. and in this case the assesse comes under 1st category
to come under 2nd category, individual should attain 60years in the previous year.. As in this case the assesse attained 60 years after the previous year ie.. ( in assessement year where ITR is filed) so he doesn't satisfy the conditions of category 2. therefore the assesse comes under category 1. and the slab rates which are given in financial budget befor 1month of the previous (ie feb 29 2015) is appicable for the previous year 15-16.dsfs
