Singhania v/s Girish Ahuja

I dint read both singhania and girish ahuja .. from reviews i know they are good.. i read Tn manoharan and was in love with tax... believe me.. the conceptual clarity is real awesome.. but the only con is that as a conceptual guru he hasnt dealt much with problems..

i think u must borrow or arrange for tutorial notes from or frnds or sumwhr...make dese notes ur 'BASE BOOK'...now use SINGANIA as ur refernce buk...singhania is a gr8 buk...language is a lil typical...but aftr a chaptr or 2 u'll get used to it...moreovr as u said u'v read literature u wont find much difficulty...and I'd suggest since u r appearin for IPCC concentrate more on VAT and SERVICE TAX as dey constitute 50% (from exam point of view) but  to stand as a CA u need to know income tax well...VAT and SERVICE TAX aint dat gud in singhania...its gud for income tax..

i av given ma ipcc xamz-may 10..n av prepared frm ahuja...

but i tell u it was rlly useless to go through dat buk...If dis tym i dun make it den m gonna prepare tax frm singhania only..!!!!!

go for Ahuja as presentation and example are much better than singhania and very easy to understand, singhania is a very good book but if are in practice not as a student.

dear friend i gave ipcc in nov 09 got exemption and one close friend is gold medalist in tax we both got

TN Mnoharan snowwhite publiction quick good book for self study once its over then u may for sum go from singhania

U may go though any of it...bt once opted stick to one...both impart a good knowlwdge...i refrd singhania...suggest u to go for it...!

For PCC Singhania is good and go for Ahuja-Gupta for Final.

Hi buddy,

I would suggest you Singhania because course material is in detail and problems are in accordance with the level of CA exam.

You can only use Girish Ahuja for reference ( but don't refer for "Income From House Property").

If u want to practicise as much as u can then go for ahuja, it will make ur concept clear, and its practical questions are the best for become expertise in income tax.

Go for Singania.

And this book is also recommended by ICAI.
