Signature on Original return

Hi

We all know that acknowledgement of returns filed without Digital Signature are to be sent to Bangalore CPC as of now. In the previous Assessment Years, was it required to get the IT Seal on the acknowledgement of the original return also, if we had filed a revised one as well?
