Should i convert ipcc to ipc ?

After clearing Group 1 of PCC, I had to discontinue my studies few years back and got employed in UAE.

Last year I converted my cource PCC to IPCC.

I came to know that IPCC is now IPC.

Do I need to convert IPCC to IPC to write exam ? I believe I have exemption of PCC Group1. what all papers I have to write / Pending ?

Since, you have already converted from PCC to IPCC, now you don’t need to convert to IPC.

[With effect from May 2013 exams, “Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE)”, was renamed as “Intermediate (IPC) Examination”. There is only a change in the nomenclature.]

Yes, you will get exemption for the papers passed in PCC, as follows:

Papers passed in PCC	Exemption in IPCC
Group I - Paper 1 : Advanced Accounting	Group I - Paper 1 : Accounting and Group II - Paper 5 : Advanced Accounting
Group I - Paper 2 : Auditing and Assurance	Group II - Paper 6 : Auditing and Assurance
Group I - Paper 3 : Law, Ethics and Communication	Group I - Paper 2 : Business Laws, Ethics and Communication

Now, to pass both groups/as a whole, you need to appear in Unit-8 of Intermediate (IPC) Examination – UNITS.

Unit-8 comprises the following subjects (corresponding subjects from PCC Group-2)

UNIT – 8

Group I Paper 3: Cost Accounting and Financial Management.

Group I Paper 4: Taxation.

Group II Paper 7 : Information Technology and Strategic Management.

You will also have an option to appear for Unit-8 separately by splitting the subjects under Unit-4 (CAFM & Tax) and Unit-6 (ITSM). But it is feasible to appear in Unit-8 straightaway.
