Not at all !
-- Because it will lead to concentration of economic power in few foreign hands.
-- Because it will further widen the already alarming gap between the rich & the poor.
-- So many other valid & thought provoking reasons are there. You can see them in the debate in Parliament. After all, who has initiated or proposed this idea ? MNcs !
Important Note :It is very unfortunate that you are getting no response to this post. Quite understandably, because we in India are so self centered that we only worry whether CAs have ample scope or not & how to clear the exam.We are not willing to to look beyond petty personal gains. Such is our mental slavery & conditioning.
In human history, including Indian, all movements were started by students, but today's student is so much asleep that he cannot see how only a handful will be benifitted at the cost of millions by such economic policies.

It will lead to handing over the control on price of goods to selective entrepreneurs. They will penetrate the market by applying lower pricing strategy at the beginning which will again lead to shutting down the operation of small traders, later they will suomoto handle the prices of commodities at a higher level.

Lets see how long this discussion remains alive. Will it gain some momentum or will it be ignored?
Any way , What do you think about the scheme of Direct Cash Transfer ? Isn't it highly humiliating to any self respecting citizen ? Isn't it shameless to admit the flaws in the govt. machinery & refuse to correct them? Even poor Indians do not need a favour or any alms from anyone, they only need appropriate environment in which they can worh & get fair returns for that.
