Your Comment on Law exam is not fair.

Boss, I hope you must have gone through the President/Vice President/ BOS chairman's messages in CA Students' Journal. Not single time, they said many times, " since exams are practical based, students must not resort to rote learning " . Moreover, the law exam from past many attempts came practical case studies based.

Agreed, that nowhere it is written that direct theoritical questions will not be asked, but I would like you to justify such messages by the " President/Vice President/ BOS chairman " ..

Agreed that law exam was not tough, but it was not fair to give such questions, when the esteemed positionholders @ Institute said about the pattern of exam being changed from theory to practical. That is why most of us prepared the exam in flow with practical approach.. which didnt came , and it was a shocker for us !

Those who says law exam was normal, hats off to them !!

Also, if possible,  pls throw some light of the usefullness of " 24 marks communication " portion in the exam.. whats the relevance of such pure "bookish" level thing in CA profession ? On the other hand, being very useful in practical life ,  How can they neglect the notices/deeds/affidavits  etc , ?

ur answer of dis ques...

here it goes..

jab exam tuff aate hai toh kyun kehte ho ki tuff hai.

bear it na???

jab aasaan aaye toh bhi kehte ho ki aasaan hai, aise nahi aane chahiye..

dude, wht do u want????

notices, drafts etc. aache hai ki nahi aaye, wahin marks cut hote hai.

aur tujhe isme problem hai??

phir ethics kyun hai ca mein???

iska kya use hai???

jab practical aate hai , toh aachon aachon se attempt bhi na hote.

its better to stay cool and raw.

First of all, I would like you to address me as " tum " or " aap " ( if in Hindi ).

If you say exam was very normal, You have not justified the the statements of Prez/Vice Prez/ BOS Chairman, regarding change in exam pattern from theoritical to practical.

Have I mentioned any where that where the marks are deducted , where they are alloted ?

If marking is everything for you, as a matter of fact, never expect an " 8/8 " in the 8 marks communication question, where as if your deed/notice etc were correct and drafter with care, you have chances of getting 8/8 .

Ethics are far more better, interesting and useful in our profession.

Agreed that communication part should be there, but it doesnot deserve a weightage of "24 marks" .

Its not at all a tough paper....but, d most unxpected paper.....

if u see d paper its very easy that even a person who hav not prepared for a day or two can answer in a better way....

n d person who studied for 4-5 days can show no difference...n for him its a gr8 dissapointment....

in short   "Its not at all a scoring paper"

it was not very tough but main chapters like company audit, verification of assets liabilities were not asked at all.

paper was not high scoring average marking will be done

who have quoted  sa in answer will definetely got benefit

caro were not asked even not in answer of any question so there irrelevent mentioning is not going to fetch any marks

paper is all about sas their content and guidance note to some extent which most of the students avoid during study

first of all

there is no need to curse ICAI

ICAI is renowed professional body and its expects to be a Competent CA

one cannot give an excuse that i know only practical and not theory

but one fails to understand that one can have a good practical base when he have a full understanding of theory

and ICAI never told us what is important and what is not

it expects us to complete the full syllabus

so  i am very happy wid ICAI who have finally heeded to those who try to complete the whole syallabus and not just some chapters based on some trends

luck may favor you one attempt but not always

so to avoid disappointment complete the whole syllabus no matter what it takes

naaki same age walon ke doston ko.

teri problem kya hai smajh nahi aayi..

paper easy hai toh chill maar na.

tension kyun le raha hai.

i knw its ca, kabhi bhi full number toh nahi milenge.

atleast 4-5 toh milenge na , out of 8.

so whts d big deal in it.

just relax urself

rest all depends upon ur presentation also

audit mein tum apni kahaniyan likho aayoge , toh tum expect karte ho ki aache number aayenge.

not need to tension students who have studied and done paper well (quoting sas and in module language) have high chances to get good marks even in many question one can got 8/8 or 7/8 highest mark generally goes between 84-88.

im happy with icai pattern because only those students can do those ques who have studied icai module

all question were directly from module same pattern was in law too

so for these theory subject (law auditing it&sm) study from icai module only because they cover both theory and practical aspects

some day before i have arguments with ca vivek sir regarding icai module

he said to study from reference book and modules are not good at that time i could not proved module are best

but ipce may11 paper of law auditing it&sm proved same.

my frnds find it difficult who were more exam oriented focused on important question and case laws

but i found it comfortable

AYUSH (student) (99 Points)

its my exprience after seeing last year and may 11 papers more than 95% question were from module and some were directly asked even in subject like tax too.

ex; in advance a/c internal reconstructin eps branch etc were as it is directly asked from module

so my advice iz to strictly follow module after that if u let with some time then only go for reference books

(Guest)

It was a 100% theory and 100% surprising but not that hard, i am expecting 70+ from that one.

I don't think there is a need to read the whole module as i have studied from surbhi bansal' s book.

Yet nothing was asked specifically from that book and one has to be prepared conceptually to tackle that paper.

that was a conceptually framed one which is not new for ca exams.
