is it possible to transfer the advance tax credit to another assessee. One of my client has paid advance tax but under a wrong name n PAN (i.e. the details mentioned in the challan are that of another person and not of the person for whom the advance tax was supposed to be paid).
In other words, although advance tax was payable for Mr. A, it has been paid for Mr. B...
Is it now possible, through any means, to shift the credit available for the wrong person to the correct assessee??
