We hadpurchased shares of listed company in the year 2000, till date these shares are held in physical form.
Is it compulsory to convert these into demat form or we can continue to hold them in physical form?

U can continue to hold.. but if u want to sell it u have to compulsorily convert it into dematerialized form.. for tat go to ur broker, ask him conversion form.. he will give u a form. fill in the details attach the shares in physical form and give it back to broker.. in a week s time those shares will be converted. then only u can sell those..
