23 July 2019I bought some shares on 07.02.18 (i.e. after 31.01.18) and sold on 05.03.19 so LTCG as held for more than 1 year. Where should I declare / fill details for these shares. As if I am filling in tab "Schedule 112A" it asks for Fair Value as on 31.01.18. If I keep it blank it gives error.
Should I fill it in Tab "CG" LTCG>3>1. From sale of listed securities....u/s 112(i).
Please clarify and suggest.

Actually, you can directly fill table B4 of Schedule CG with aggregate values of total transactions.
Or if you wish to fill sch 112A, fill figure of 'Total sale value' as in column (5) of the table. (This is just to avoid the error, as such it is not applicable)

Actually data filled in 112A automatically gets filled in Table B4 of CG.
My question is the shares bought and sold after 31.01.2018 will not qualify for Fair Market Value as on 31.01.2018. In this case details of such shares will be filled in which table. Should it be filled in Table 3 (1) of LTCG in Schedule CG in ITR2 (u/s 112(i)). Because now indexation on LTCG is not applicable and if LTCG is more than 1.0 Lakh then 10% LTCG Tax is levied on excess amount.
Am I Correct. Please clarify for shares bought after 31.01.2018.

Table B3 of CG will not give you benefit of sec. 112A. It will be taxed at 20%. 1 lakhs exemption is u/s. 112A of the act.
GSTR 9 and 9C for FY 23-24 as amended by Notification 12/2024 dated 10th July 2024(with recording)
