Can anyone share with me the link or the Act itself where it is mentioned that share transfer stamp to be affixed in share transfer deed (Form 7B) should be @ 25 paise per Rs. 100 of consideration.
I want it since I saw in Article 62 of te below given link that stamp duty payable on transfer of share would be 75 paise for every Rs 100 of value of shares:

The Share Transfer Stamp Duty sum is 25 Paise per Rs.1000/-.
But there are different Share Transfer Stamp Duty charges in other states of our nation.
The one I have mentioned above is practiced in Tamilnadu.
See to that you check with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) of other states.
Now I am concerned about the state of West Bengal.
I know that value of share transfer stamp duty is 25 paise per Rs. 100. I believe it is the same all over India.
But what I wanted was the Act (latest amended) where this is mentioned, so that I can show it to someone who has affixed share transfer stamp of the value of 50 paise per Rs. 100 in the recent past.
