Shahrukh beats all 'Khans' and kumar in paying tax

New Delhi: King Khan Shah Rukh Khan beats all other `Khans` of his ilk in Bollywood hands down to become highest tax payer from Bollywood for the second quarter of financial year 2011. He paid whopping Rs 5 crore to the IT department as against the Rs 3.5 crore paid in the same quarter last year. Shah Rukh has replaced Akshay Kumar who managed to come a close second having paid Rs 4.5 crore in Q2 of FY11 as well. He had paid Rs 4.5 crore in Q2 of FY10. And the third spot was grabbed by Aamir Khan.

 

Aamir, who is currently promoting his forthcoming film Dhobhi Ghat paid Rs 4 crore as tax versus Rs 3.5 crore paid in the same quarter last year.

 

And surprisingly the fourth spot was shared by Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Both paid Rs 2.5 crore each as tax in the second quarter of FY11.

 

And Salman Khan, who is presently at the top of the world after stunning success of Dabangg, has paid only Rs two crore. This is less than his last year figure that was Rs 2.5 crore in the same quarter last year.

 

When it came to the actresses, Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif shelled out Rs 1.3 crore versus Rs 1 crore paid in Q2 FY10 and tough competitor Kareena Kapoor paid Rs 1 crore as tax as against Rs 80 lakh paid same quarter last year.

 

And shockingly enough,Hritik Roshan paid a meager Rs 50 lakh as against the Rs 3 crore paid in second quarter of FY10 and Arbaaz Khan spent Rs 10 lakh as against Rs 50 lakh last year.
