Having looked at the paper, frankly I'm pretty surprised that people found it difficult. Most of the questions only require a simple application of basic concepts. If you find this difficult then you simply aren't at the level required to clear a final level SFM paper.

It does seem like it. Before attempting I felt this is an 80 marker. But as we go on writing, we realising that's not the truth. However if they give marks for steps it won't be the worst. I hope checking won't be too tough

As per the expert analysis the SFM paper(old course) May 2019 was a wee bit lengthy as compared to the last two attempts. However, it was not very difficult. Most of the questions were based on fundamental concepts. To read the expert analysis of the paper you can visit this link https://www.caclubindia.com/articles/question-papers-analysis-of-ca-final-old-and-new-may-2019-exams-38149.asp. I found the article very helpful. It contains expert analysis and tabular dissection of all CA Final May/June 2019 papers.
