Many posts on CCI referring books for SFM frm different authors has confused me?
Some say
A.N Sridhar= good for practice
S.D Bala & Pattabhi Ram= good for concept clarity
Some even say Padhuka and some CA Nagendra sah notes.........
Which book contains adequate sums for parctice as well as clears concepts pls. recommend as i m doin self-study for May 12 exams....
Guys who hav already cleared this subject with good marks pls. recommend too as im lookin for exam oriented preparation......
Concept clarity is important in SFM, I have used S D Bala there are many sums also in this book, if u need more practice than u can also use institute's practice manual.

i am a ex-student of Nagendra sir. i had not read any reference book except his notes because i think there is no need to read any other books, so i do not have idea about other book. Till the date, at least 70 marks question was always copied from nagendra sir book even is this may-2011 exam. detailed analysis is available on CA Clubindia you can search.
His book is not available in market. only summary (only for 4 topics) is available on CA Clubindia. But he is going to publish his books within 1 month. If you can wait for 1 month you do not have to search any thing else.
It is my opinion and opinion deffer from person to person.

There are good number of reference books are available in the market. Students have different taste to choose the reference book.
The notes of best teachers will be effective if and only if you are attended the classes. SD Bala and pattabhi Ram Book Give you more conceptual clarity. AN Sridahr Contains variety of problems
