Seven IT Companies Given Land in IT SEZs in Hyderabad

The Andhra Pradesh Government has given permission to seven IT companies, including four new players, to set up their facilities in IT Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in and around Hyderabad.

Rimage Corporation, KAG Outsourcing Pvt Ltd, Freescale Semi Conductor India Pvt Ltd, and IT Convergence Professional Services Pvt Ltd, are the new companies which were given letters of permission (LoP) by the Development Commissioner, AP IT SEZs.

“The availability of talent and willingness of SEZ developers to offer minimum extent of office space in the State which was not available in locations, were some of the reasons for the new companies to seek land in SEZs,” Ms K. Ratna Prabha, Principal Secretary, Information and Communications Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, said, in a release.

The existing companies which were also given land include Intelligroup Asia Pvt Ltd, Yash Technologies Pvt Ltd, and QFund Technologies Pvt Ltd.

The facilities to be set up by these companies are likely to generate employment opportunities for over 2,000 IT professionals, sources said.

With these units, the total LoPs sanctioned by the State Government to IT companies in the current financial year had gone up to 39, Ms Ratna Prabha said.
