Can anybody reslove my doubt...
I have a doubt on Service tax on rent recd
till date we use to setoff ser tax on rent recd , but i have heard that as per new budget u cant claim service tax on rent for set off you have to pay the service tax to the govt instead of taking setoff..
can some one please explian me in detail

there is no such amendment in the budget. You can claim CENVAT Credit of service tax paid on rent, provided such rented premise is used for manufacture of final goods or for provision of output service

Service tax paid for availing renting services is very much eligible to input service setoff
There is no such restricting amendement in budget 2016-17
