Service tax registraton?

Dear sir \ madam,

My Assessee belore last returns manually handled return . But now govt. announced all assessee

mandatory for service tax return of filing

My question : How to procedure switchover service tax online filing return?

See my friend you will be required to apply to service tax dept. for oNLINR REGISTRATION.

You will be required to file an application along with an declaration.

can u guide me please in this situation? what is the penalty in service tax when no business started after obtain service tax registration number?
and also nil returns are not filled by the assesse form last 4 years (After obtaining registration number also no business is started)

You have to complete online your company profile at below mention link. & after filling online form get it sign & submit your online application along with a declaration to your range.

Yes...e-filing return is compulsory for all assessee...from 1st OCT

First of all, You have to confirm whether you have STC no or not ? That will be concidered as PAN no & ST001 or 2 as per your Branches . If your PAN No is ABCDE1234F and you have only one premises registered with Service Tax Department your STC code will be "ABCDE1234FST001". You have to check it at NSDL on the following link.

If your details are showing, you just have to give the details to your local range office along with your current E mail Address so that they will isuue USER ID and PASSWORD for your firm and you will receive through mail.

But, If your details are showing like "No record " , you have to get registered with ACES.

communicate to your Service Tax Range superintendent the following

1: Name of assessee

2: Registration number

3: Name of the Contact person

4: Mobile number of contract person

5: Email id

department will update the data of ACES, and aces will auto generate a link and send it to the email provided to the assessee , where the assessee will be able to create the login and password for his registration

once login is generated, he will be able to E file his service tax returns.

Now Service Tax registration is mandatory for all the service tax asessees whose turnover exceeds the limit of 10 lacs.

It has become so easy to apply for service tax registration via online mode.

First of All you will have to login to www.aces.gov.in and then you can fill up your application for registration. and ST-2 will be granted by the concerned service tax commissionerate within 7 days from the date of submission of application for registration.

According to the Notification No. 43/2011 – Service Tax, dated 25 aug,

every service tax assessee is liable to file HALF YEARLY RETURN ELECTONICALLY" w.e.f. 1st October 2011

so, this is mandatory to file e-return only, inspite of whatever is the service tax amount. No paper returns are accepted now onwards.

if you have your TPIN no and user id at ACES site, then you can file return electronically by logging the site.

in case you are not created the user id on aces site, then please inform your SERVICE TAX REGISTRATION NO, alongwith A VALID E-MAIL ID (if not already, create and account on anywhere may yahoo, gmail, reddiff,hotmail etc..) to YOUR service tax Range office, TO Superintendent.

after 1-2 days, they would create a "Migration TPIN No" and send it to your given mail id. here they would provide you the "site link" and the "password"

then, you click the link given by deptt, and fill the password given. you would be looged in. also the same time, you should change your password.

NOW, THIS IS YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNT ON "ACES SITE" and there are all the option available. THE SITE IS USER FREINDLY, and you can fill your st return in the section "Fill". you can also upload the xml file generated offline. for this you have to download ACES return filing utility.
