Sir,

It has a very simple procedure. Log in to www.aces.gov.in

You will find an option of amendment on the page. Change your address in form ST-1 and submit.

Latter on you are required to submit acknowledgement generated and all necessary proofs of change in address to ST Department.

Hope it will helpful. Please comment if further clarification required.

Thanks & regards,

Abhimanyu

Thankyou,

But in that site, when i click on amend registration, it comes as "there is no record for amendment as ST1 amended".

Can u please help how to proceed.

Thanks & Regards,

Shyamal

EXCISE AND SERVICE TAX IS ADDRESS BASED REGISTRATION

you can not change the address, as change of address means that you are shifting the premises from where the taxable services are provided.

you have to register your new premises as additional place of work ( a centralized regn is better), and if needed you have to surrender old regn.

as the new address may be in diff juridiction of service tax, hence the same is not available to assesee.

Thankyou Sir,

In our case, it is centralised registration, & only a branch place of business is shifted. So, what is the procedure to amend in the Registration Certificate.

Shyamal

ADD NEW BUSINESS PLACE,

THEN DELATE OLD PLACE

then submit documents to department to validate the same.

We want to do it online.

But on the site "www.aces.gov.in", in amend Registration it is not reflecting anything.

Do we need to go directly to amend registraion or there is any other way.

Shyamal

then submit application for add of new place and delation of old place to your service tax registration authority and obtain dated acknowledgement.

at some places where the amendment has been done random but document not furnished as per requirement, such facility is disabled for entire area.

before doing so , please try with "internet explorer" with aces, as the site works perfect with IE6 or above only.

"there is no record for amendment as ST1 amended"- As per this message I guess someone already has submitted online amendment application through the website so, please check amendment history. The option is available under the same head i.e. under Reg option- Check Amendment History.

Here is the helpline of ACES you can contact on the toll free number given below.

Yes, a branch was amended before few months.

Now, a different branch is amended, so what is the procedure accordingly.
