12 August 2009we are clearing and forwarding agent cum stockist of Indian Oil Corp Ltd. , there is no any tax being paid and collected from buyers as well. Plz explain the real picture according to law and let me know what to do...can we deposit Lumpsum of the Service tax without any prior input which is retained to be paid.

there is one proprietory firm who wants to close the firm and he is liable to service tax for some amount & also he wants to cancelled his service tax registration
So tell me wats the procedure to clear all the liabilities & How to cancel his service tax registration

You are required to determine your ST liability considering the amount you should have charged for such services. In such matter it is better to contact your local expert for resolution since the issue of adding expenses/ cum tax, actual determining of wactivity whether under C&F or otherwise are to be determined.

My question about service tax of Sub Broker. In new budget what is provision of service tax for sub broker ?
In new budget remove a service tax from sub broker? If yes which date it is applicable ?

hi !
if we deposit cheque on 4th of next month for payment of service tax, and challan bearing the date 8th of the same mnth. is there any dealey in depositing ST.
is there any grace period available in depositing Service tax

shadab ahmad you r make delay 3 days for payment of Service tax........if u r deposit throgh net banking than 6 day of every month is last date of payment .......
