This is regarding payment of service tax.
Example: Date of completion of Service 10.04.2012
Date of invoice : 28.06.2012
Payment : Not yet received
In this case, we will pay the service tax in the month of july.2012.
Now, my question is while making payment, since we have already provided
the service in the month of April, is it necessary to pay interest for delay in
payment of service tax.

Rule 6(1) of Service Tax Rule - ST shall be paid to the credit of Govt by 5th / 6th as the case may be of the month immediately following the month in which service is deemed to be provided as per Point of Taxation Rule
As per POT Rule, Point of Taxation is date of invoice , if invoice is not issued within 30 days of completion of service , date of completion of service will be point of taxation
Hence in your case Payment due date is May 5th or 6th
Interest is to be calculated from the above date
