I am salaried government employee. service tax on state insurance and group insurance premiums has been deducted from my monthly salary. is this amount of service tax paid from my salary is deductible from gross salary for arriving at taxable income ???? Please reply...

as state n group insurance is part of your salary( Including service tax), you should not deduct service tax paid to arrive taxable income
