Dear Sandhya,
Maybe more details are required. What exactly is this? However I do not think the coverage could be under pandal and shamaina contractors as their services are entirely different. The same may not be a taxable service but actual services provided would determine / confirm the same.

this guy is a broker basically .he hires the services of all these guys like shamiana,flower decorators,catering etc and then provide these services under one roof .so its basically liasoning.so mandapkeeper,shamiana ,catering all are taxable under the respective service catagory but i dont know abt the liason work that is bringing the the person who gets marries and those providing these services.so in effect he is neither the provider nor the recipient,just a broker

He will be taxable under 'Event Management Service" because the definition of "event management" is any service provided in relation to planning, promotion, organizing or presentation of any arts, entertainment, business, sports, [marriage]* or any other event and includes any consultation provided in this regard.

Dear all, All Indian Wedding planners are liable to pay Service tax @ 12.36% and they are taxable under the category 'Event Management Service' as already pointed out by Siddhartha Sankar Roy.
Event Management Services, Wedding Planners, Wedding Coordinators, Event Coordinators etc are all agencies that provide services under one roof.
