Mr a has received rs.8.00 lacs rent during the year 2009-10 and 8.50 , 9 .00 , 11.00 lacs for subsequent years.
during 2009-10 one lease agreement was expired and m a gave advocate notice for vacation of property. The tenant did not vacate the property till today. Rent increase is not determined and tenant is paying rent as per old agreement. Rent is under dispute. Now both the parties settled rent and now land lord received 6.00 lacs each from the year 2009-10.
now the questions are.
how rent is being taxed in cash basis regime and accrual basis rregime. Till last month rent is not known.
which year my rent is taxable.
