1. Whether the service tax is applicable on Section 25 Company?

2. Whether Service tax is to be imposed on Membeship Fee and Subscripttion Charges?

As on date the concept of mutuality has not got accepotacne from the dept. and therefore the liability exists.

Dear Mamta,

1) Yes Service tax is tapplicable on Sec 25 Companies...

2) Regarding ur second query can u plz specify in deatils the kind of membership fees like any sports club,etc
