We are into software development and have to raise a invoice in foreign currency on a client based outside India. The payment will be received in foreign currency.
As per a ealier post I understtand that we do not have to add service tax. Does the service tax returns have to show this transaction as exempted or something ?

we are still waiting for new returns format to be notified; going by the old returns format, the exports proceeds needs to be shown in the export column.

yes agree with Mr. Prasad. But you may not be requried to get registered under service tax law. Hence, no need to file any return.

Thank you for your inputs. I haVe a Service tax registration for our local business.
GSTR 9 and 9C for FY 23-24 as amended by Notification 12/2024 dated 10th July 2024(with recording)
