Service Tax on Civil Work

Dear Friends,

No set off is allowed under Maharashtra VAT on MVAT charged on immovable property like civil work.

Similarly what is the provision for service tax charged in a works contract for civil work/other immovable plant & machinery.

Pls give section no. also.
