Pl. resolve this query & thanks in advacne!
If some body deposit the admission & Registrattion fees say Rs. 50K two months back and till date not get any kind of professional/vocational services from the company......................but after getting started said services from the company is he /she also liable to pay service tax on the 50K amount as mentioned above????

Dear Gaurav,
If the company is a service provider and the services provided are covered under service tax net then the compnay should have deposited service tax on that advance of Rs 50 K as the service tax is payable on payment bases and is charged on any advance of payments in leu of services to be provided.
