Service tax number surrender

Dear Experts,

We filed for service tax surrender on 10 April 2015 subsequently we submitted hard copy of submission along with original registration certificate. Our account is showing surrender request pending , my question is do we have to file retun for April to Sept 2015 and how long does it takes to move from penfing to final cancelation.
