It would be kind of you if you let me know what would be the applicable Service Tax rate for Nov 2012 exams. In May 2012 exams the rate was 10.3%. Please tell wether 10.3% is applicable for Nov 2012 also or for Nov 2012 12.36% rate is applicable.

The rate should be 12.36% , but I think that in exam ques you will be given the rate to be used.
six months before amendements dont apply ,anyways its prudent to mention in working note about the rate change,anyways if they give the dates diff say june 2012 he provided service,then service tax rate wil be 12.36 percent ,so better write a working note,it takes 2 minutes

In my point of view service tax rate 12.36% is applicable for nov 12 ca final exam .
