Service tax limit - its urgent

Dear All

My client have service tax registration with service tax authority but he has not cross limit of 10 Lack ( Turn Over )

But he has done transection of ( Service Tax ) but they not charge ST to his party Hence my quatioin is on the transection he has laiable to pay servic tax or not if yes pleae explain with any refrance ( notification , Law. Rule )

If ur client's turnover is less than rs. 10 lac then he is not liable to charge & pay ser. tax bt 1nce his trnovr > rs. 10 lac he will become liable to charge & pay ser.tax on subsequent bills & it will be payable on due basis. Hope it will help u.

If invoice issued by ur client specifically shows the amt of ser. tax then he will become liable to ser. tax. even though he has not collected ser tax amt. For solution of this problem ask ur client to revise the bill.
