15 June 2011A company has its own branches and franchise in the same city. The comany raises bill on Franchise and charges service tax on the same. The question is whether service tax paid on input services used by branches is available as input credit against Franchise service.

yes ,you can take the benefit aginst input service ,service tax i.e input service is setoff against output service & balance of service tax paid to the department but for this you can give Details to the department while registration for input service
