04 June 2012We are paying service tax on transportation of goods by road.
Can service tax payable on rent payment be adjusted against service tax payable on transportation i.e cenvat credit on rent be adjusted against service tax on transportation.
please clarify

Dear Shashi,
If Transport charges paid for providing any output service or used in relation to manafature any excisable goods then you can claim ST credit
