Kindly help me on below mentioned topic:
One of my relative formed a new company. He made his premises during January 2011 to August 2011. During this period he got many bills of builders on which service tax levied. He is registered under service tax w.e.f. 01.10.2011. Can he take the credit of service tax on bill received during period of January 2011 to August 2011.

As per the amneded definition effective form 01-04-2011, this credit is not allowed. Prior to that may be admissible.

No. Only services received after registration are eligible for credit.
