10 May 2012Heres a problem of service tax in which i am confused?
Billed Amount - Rs. 599/-
commission to be paid to employee included in billed amt. - 20%
will the service tax be calculated after deductin commission? if yes what will be the amt of commission and service tax?

Billed Amount Rs.599 (assumed Service Tax Included in Billed Amount)
Means this Rs.599 is 80%+20%+12.36%(100%)=112.36%
So Service Value = 599*80/112.36=426
Commission Amt=599*20/112.36=107
Amt of Service tax =12.36%(426+107)=66
Total Billed Amount=426+107+66=Rs.599

will the tds be deducted on commission?? if yes then will it be assumed that Rs. 107/- includes tds.pls show the calculation also.
