Service tax certification cancellation

Hello Fellows,

I have one question. One of my friend is service tax asessee. He is now want to Cancel/surrender his service tax registration certificate and i heard it can be done online via some portal. Can anyone of you help me with. Thanks allot in Advance.

You can do this by loging at www.aces.gov.in

After login click on REG and then click on Surrender.

Just fillup this details & take printout of it and submit to the department.
