We raised a bill to a party toward rent adding service tax on the full bill amount. We received part payment, and service tax was paid to the govt. Now the party refuses to pay the balance amount of the bill. How do we treat the service tax paid on the full bill amount?

in case you can obtain the debit note from the party, u can reverse the same in books on the strength of the same, and adjust the same in next month's liability in the light of changes in service tax rules, as ammended by Finance Act'2011..
