Service tax applicablity

Hello Friends

My client is Individual providing taxable services to their clients having turnover above 10 lakh and collecting & filing service tax return. This year he gave his immoveable property on rent .

My Qustion is could service tax be applicable on immoveable property also????????????????? apart from renting professional services.

yes service tax be applicable on immoveable property given on rent , he need to add one more service category on his ST Certificate

Service tax is applicable when cumulatively the turnover of all taxable services exceeds Rs 10 lacs. Also there is no need to amend your registration as from 01-7-2012, there is no requirement of including specific services into your Reg Certificate of ST.
