If i have recceived amount in sep & oct.against bill raised in august. in which month the laibility of service tax started.

i also think that the service tax is based on the receipt basis not on an accrual basis hence the s.t. should be paid in the next month after receipt.

Service Tax is always charged on receipt basis and not on accural basis.... According to this concept charge Service Tax accordingly.....
