pls tell me about interest rate on due amount of service tax. which is not deposited in service tax A/c.

Interest rate is 13% p.a. from 10.09.2004. W.e.f. 16.07.2001 interest is to be calculated on per annum basis.

Rate of Interest upto 15/7/2001 - 18%.
Rate of Interest from 16/7/2001 to 15/8/2002 - 24%
Rate of Interest from 16/8/2002 to 9/9/2004 - 15%
Rate of Interest from 10/9/2004 to till date - 13%

the rate of interest is 13%p.a i.e., the delay is say for a period of 55 days then int should be calculated as below
amount of st payble*13%*55/365
