WHAT CONTRACTS ARE EXEMPTED UNDER SERVICE TAX, I have filed one of my client return under income tax i.e. income from contracts estimating @ 8% but he received notice from service tax authorities about contracts please clarify

Rather than checking exempted list, check whether the contract nature which you mentioned in ITR as Business code, is having any exemption like SSP etc etc.
