Pls. clarify this calculation " serivice tax % is 12.36%" (A). when v split this " service tax is 12%, PE cess is 2% and HE cess is 1%. How this 12.36% = 12% + 2%+ 1%.

E.Cess & HSEC are calculted on the amount of service tax payable and not on taxable value. There fore S.T+E.C+HSEC= 12%+ (12%) x(2%)+12%x(1%) = 12.36%
