Is service tax applicable or VAT APPLICABLE on crokeries, tables ,chairs supplyed .

Dear Sushant
If it is a mere supply transaction only sales tax will be applicable. If like furniture is made according to your specifications by a carpenter or so then it may fall under the work definition under works contract wherein the both service tax as well as sales tax will be applicable. Do correct me if i am wrong.
