we lost our original certificate of service tax and we wish to cancel our service tax number . what fees and penalty for duplicate certificate will impose

It may look cumbersome. But you have to obtain duplicate registration, file ST3 return till date or prove with your bank passbook/balance sheet that your taxable income is less than the exemption limit and surrender the registration certificate.
