Dear Experts,

Could a company avail the service from a unregistered person for more than threshold limit in a Financial Year.

If so, does that company need to pay the GST under RCM?

Example

1. A Pvt Ltd avails the catering service from a unregistered person for the whole financial year.

After some specified number of months, the transaction value crosses their threshold limit.

Though informing to the service providers, it is getting delayed to get the registration.

in this case, can A Pvt Ltd shall avail this catering services l for remaining months of the FY by discharging the GST amount under RCM.

No the RCM not applicable.
Supplier need to obtain registration mandatory if the threshold limit prescribed in Section 22 exceeds.
