Sending Form V to CPC Bangalore

When sending the ITR Acknowledgement Form V to CPC Bangalore:

1. Can more than 1 Form V be sent in one envelop?

2. Is it mandatory to send in an A4 size envelop to avoid folding? Is it not enough to enure that there are no folds in the bar code at the bottom of the page?

3. Should we resend the Form V if for example we don't receive the acknowledgement in email within 15 days of sending?

1) It is better u send one ITR V in one envelope, as there are no restrictions on sending multiple forms in one envelope.

2) Size of the envelope is specified for the better delivery of the Form, in case you can send it with due care other wise there is no issue.

3) It is better you send it through registered A.D. through post office, as you will get a proper acknowledement for the same on delivery. which will be a valid proof of submission.

1. Actually I would like to send my wife's IT return also with mine in the same envelop...any opinion?

2. In Circular No. 03 / 2009 (https://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/archive/circulars_2009_onReturnforms_final_10062009.pdf) it is mentioned: "Since the Form ITR-V is bar-coded, assessee is advised not to fold the same and post it in A4 size envelope." but since the bar code is only at  the bottom of the page we could send it in smaller envelop without folding on the bar-code...opinions please?

3. The e-filing website https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/index.jsp clearly mentions that the Form V should be sent by ordinary post, in this situation will it be ok to resend the acknowledgement in case confirmation of receipt is not received within 15 days,...?

Dont send it through Registered Post, it is specifically mentioned on the website that send the form only by Ordinary Post.

it should be send only by ordinary post

it says :  Dear Taxpayers , Please furnish the Form ITR-V to theIncome Tax Department , CPC, Post Bag No - 1, Electronic City Post Office, Bangalore - 560100, Karnataka, BY ORDINARY POST ONLY within thirty days after the date of transmitting the data electronically. ITR-V sent by Speedpost, Registered Post or Courier will not be accepted.

Request for answering my queries 1,2 & 3.

Also I just found that for all those who are a little doubtful of sending the Form V via ordinary post, the taxspanner.com has a service to delivery the ITR-V at the CPC Bangalore for Rs 50. They have an office in Bangalore where you need to send 2 signed copies of ITR-V and they will deliver the same.
